What is the Care Ambassador scheme?
The Care Ambassador scheme is a national and local initiative to inform young people and other groups in the community about social care. The CAWD Care Ambassador Scheme has been running since April 2009 and has successfully recruited over 50 Care Ambassadors.
What is a Care Ambassador?
A Care Ambassador is a social care worker, carer or recipient of care who as part of a team promotes social care by giving presentations and workshops in local schools and colleges. The role of a Care Ambassador is to inspire, encourage and offer guidence to young people about entering the social care sector. Free training is given to help Care Ambassadors in this role.

What is your commitment:
All successful applicants are asked to participate in a minimum of 3 activities per year. This could include attending a recruitment road show or assisting at a schools careers event.
